2017 Wedding Trend: Trees

BRIDES Magazine, Colin Cowie Wedding Planners, and other national floral experts, are weighing in on the next hottest floral trend for the 2017 wedding season – live trees in exchange for traditional floral arrangements.

More and more brides are bringing the outdoors to the indoors, with lush greenery and lighted birch saplings to keep costs low and make a “living” garden look more feasible for an indoor ceremony or reception.

Another way to create the look and feel of an indoor greenhouse without the higher cost of live trees is to create DIY centerpieces with branches, wildflowers or moss.

Carry the natural elements throughout the rest of the venue with branches in vases, ceremonial archways or hang greenery and ribbon for escort cards.

Thinking green for your big day?

Twigs of Greenville has the expertise that brides are looking for. After creating an indoor oasis in their Tempietto garden venue, their team can create distinctive floral designs to perfect the forest trend in any event space.

Renee Burroughs Design, another preferred florist in the Upstate for greenery and installations, has an artistic eye for combining fresh flowers, garland and decorative pieces to create dramatic details to a venue.

Tri-County Rentals can provide driftwood chairs, farmhouse tables and ivory linens – all simple additions to a venue to achieve this latest trend.

Style Me Pretty

Lastly, don’t forget lighting with candles, string lights, lanterns, sconces and chandeliers. Nothing says magical or fairy-tale like a soft glow of candles everywhere.
