Every bride dreams of her flawless wedding day with her groom. For Anna Claire + Jacob, that day took place on April 10th at The Old Cigar Warehouse. With small details throughout the ceremony and reception that truly made their wedding reflect their laid-back, fun loving personalities, Anna Claire + Jacob’s day was not only wildly unique, but also perfect in every way.
A couple from Clemson University that is heavily involved in campus and church activities, Anna Claire + Jacob had a traditional wedding with a huge turnout! Friends and family from all over (even Cuba!) came to celebrate the love that radiates from this beautiful couple.
After a morning spent apart from each other to get ready for their big day, Anna Claire + Jacob took time before their ceremony to have a first look. Filled with nervous energy, Jacob could not wait to see how beautiful his bride looked. And he was not disappointed!
Since this stunning couple obviously loves spending time with each other, what better way to celebrate their imminent nuptials than by spending the time leading up to their vows taking beautiful pictures with Ryan & Alyssa Photography?
And how could you forget about the wedding party? Taking time to celebrate and commemorate their special day with their closest people, Anna Claire + Jacob gathered for group pictures with their fun-loving wedding party
Finally, it was time for the ceremony. As Anna Claire walked down the staircase on her father’s arm, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind the love that Anna Claire + Jacob share for one another. From the moment she stepped inside the Main Hall, Jacob was overcome with emotion which was more than evidenced by the look on his face. After a loving embrace from Anna Claire to her father, the ceremony began.
Officiated by two friends, the ceremony stayed true to Anna Claire + Jacob’s personalities – fun. Each of the officiants shared personal stories about the couple, causing joyous laughter from the friends and family gathered there. The ceremony was even more tailored to Anna Claire + Jacob as a bridesmaid and a groomsman gave the couple the gift of song in the middle of the ceremony. During the vows, Anna Claire + Jacob couldn’t contain their excitement as they both shouted “We do!”, much to the enjoyment of their guests. After being pronounced man and wife, the newlyweds sealed their marriage with a kiss and walked back down the aisle together.
While Anna Claire + Jacob went off to take photos as husband and wife, the guests headed out to the deck where they dined on delicious bites from Thoroughfare Food Truck and drank beverages provided by Liquid Catering. Although Anna Claire + Jacob were not at the cocktail hour, their presence was still there from the banner hung along the railing which gave a timeline of their relationship in addition to cocktail table covers from “All in Coffee” – their favorite coffee shop in Clemson!
Following the cocktail hour on the deck, it was time to introduce the wedding party. But unlike traditional weddings where the DJ or a friend introduces the wedding party and the newlywed couple, Anna Claire + Jacob took matters into their own hands. Not only did they come out first, but they also introduced their “party people” themselves! What a fun and even more personal way to show your appreciation for your nearest and dearest! This introduction really set the party atmosphere for the rest of the night!
After first dances to get the reception started and a couple of spins around the dance floor, it was time to cut the cake! Guests completely surrounded the couple by standing on the staircase and cheered the newlyweds on as they fed each other their first bites.
From then on, the party was put in full motion. As a huge dancer, Jacob wanted everyone up and moving during the reception. And that’s exactly what happened! Everyone took a turn on the dance floor – from grandparents to flower girls. As long music was playing, the dance floor was full.
Another sweet, unique moment came at the end of the reception. Anna Claire + Jacob returned to their reception dressed in baseball shirts with “Mrs.” and “Mr.” written on them as they prepared to head off for their honeymoon. Before they left, however, the matron of honor and one of the best men each took turns toasting the happy couple. Following their beautiful toasts, Jacob took the opportunity to not only toast his gorgeous wife, but to also thank everyone in attendance and those who helped guide them in their relationship together. After his touching speech, the guests took to the floor one last time with the bride and groom to dance to Anna Claire + Jacob’s favorite dance song one last time – “The Electric Slide”.
When it came time for Anna Claire + Jacob to leave for their honeymoon to South Africa, all of their guests followed them out to the deck where they waved goodbye to the newlyweds as they drove off into their next great adventure together.
