One question we ask all of our couples is “What are your top three priorities for your wedding day?” The venue, food, the bride’s dress, décor, drinks, etc. are just some of the answers that we hear. Sally Kate + Jordan had their answers like everyone else, but to us, all we heard was “dancing, dancing and MORE dancing.” We LOVE when couples want to throw a party for their guests, and SK + Jordan’s mission was to do just that.
Their reception was held at The Old Cigar Warehouse on September 12, 2015, but not before their beautiful ceremony at Furman University’s Daniel Chapel. Furman University is Jordan’s alma mater, making it an extra special homecoming for this Furman grad and his new bride. After Noveli Wedding Photography captured this energetic and loving bridal party, their crowd of over 200 guests arrived at our space and ready for a good time. Liquid Catering was ready on the deck with fully stocked bars while Good Life Catering passed enough hors devours that were to die for. YUM!
As the guests were buzzing with excitement over the ceremony and for the reception about to come, the couple had a moment to themselves to revel in their loving ceremony – and to eat! The pure love, excitement and energy they had was mesmerizing, and all the vendors around them couldn’t help but notice. It was a special moment for vendors that we don’t always get to happen, and before to long, we were all ready for this rocking reception to get going. The party got started with first dances and only a taste of the goodness that was to come from the couple’s band for the evening, The Voltage Brothers. Dinner was served in the cellar with multiple food stations surrounding tables adorned in beautiful floral arrangements created by Statice Flowers – but not long before the beautiful 5-tiered cake by Couture Cakes was cut and served to guests.
After working with this couple for a little over a year, we could not wait for the newlyweds and their guests to hit the dance floor. It was clear from the start that this crowd was going to be dancing through the night. And we were right! Once the dancing started, it seemed like it never stopped. The Voltage Brothers provided music, and this crowd couldn’t get enough of there sound. The bride and groom not only loved having the live entertainment, but felt it appropriate that they get in on the action. They were naturals, and clearly loved by all!
The energy surrounding this couple and their celebration was unreal. We hope they enjoyed their celebration as much as we did working it. Congratulations to this loving, passionate and energetic couple – we wish you a lifetime of happiness. Cheers, Sally Kate + Jordan!
