A few months ago you would find us realizing that 2015 was approaching faster than we ever thought. We knew it was time to dedicate more time to corporate and nonprofit sales at The Old Cigar Warehouse. So much of our business revolves around weddings, but we can’t forget about our other, non-nuptial clients! The space is perfect for a multitude of events other than beautiful weddings such as sales meetings, appreciation dinners, holiday parties, product reveals, fundraisers, birthday parties, reunions, and so much more. Without further ado, we hired Christie Early for the new position of Corporate Sales Manager.
Christie is a hometown hire. She grew up in the Upstate area graduating high school from James F. Byrnes. However, her study of the hospitality industry took her to the College of Charleston and then Trident Technical College where she received her degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. At this point, Christie was in love with events and worked several jobs in the Charleston market. The Upstate reclaimed her though at the end of 2011 where she took over as Event Manager at the Davenport venue in Greer. For three years, Christie worked tirelessly in all aspects of event planning learning the ropes of venue life. Lucky for us though, she joined our team toward the end of 2014!
In her free time, Christie loves being at the lake–from skiing to wake-boarding, she is a water sports junkie. Volunteering at her church is a passion, as well as crafting and trying out new restaurants in Greenville.
