Meet Anna and Michael: Currently living in Hendersonville, high school friends turned lifetime partners got married in the middle of all the downtown Greenville action on the 4th of July this year. Anna and Michael took advantage of all that our little city has to offer on this celebratory day to also help celebrate their wedding. But before all of the big activity began, Anna and Michael made things official by tying the knot in front of 140 friends and family vowing their love for each other as they began their new life together.
Once they sealed it with a kiss, the newlyweds and their guests were ready to kick the Independence Day/wedding celebrations into high gear…and so they did! Guests greeted the Mr. and Mrs. at cocktail hour on our inviting Deck overlooking downtown Greenville. Liquid Catering, who provided bar services, surprised them with a patriotic punch to keep with the overall theme of the day. Yum! When it was time to introduce the bridal party, they came into the main hall to “Levels”. That’s when the party was truly taken to a whole other level! Our July 4th couple used our in-house uplighting package that created a really fantastic patriotic feel inside the Main Hall, fading between red, white, and blue throughout the evening. If you have a specific theme or color palette for your event, we highly suggest taking advantage of this add-on.
What made this wedding another one for the record books? The fabulous vendors that helped pull everything of course! Cotton Rouge started the bride and her main ladies out on the right foot with professional hair and makeup–don’t they all look beautiful?! The scene was then set with strikingly cool and charming farmhouse tables that truly enhanced the beauty of our historic 1882 building. Anna and Michael’s unique layout was enhanced with Majestic Charcoal linens and jute runners, coupled with Fairytale Florist’s simple yet gorgeous arrangements. They were the perfect touch for this reception! Those charming blue vase centerpieces you see in the photos doubled as favors for guests to take home. With the decor set for the festivities, food began to be prepared by none other than the great Good Life Catering who pulled out all the stops, including a turkey and beef carving station, a Charleston action station, and everyone’s favorite: a mac n’ cheese and mash potato bar with all the fixings you can imagine! Clearly they had a handle on the savory, and Holly’s Cakes certainly covered the sweet! Do you see that cake? Stunning design! With the champagne toast taken care of by Liquid Catering, the Father of the Bride, Maid of Honor and Best Man were all able to give their good wishes to the happy couple. Okay…party time! Party Machine definitely helped get the dance floor hopping. After the Anna and Michael had their first dance to “When You Got A Good Thing” by Lady Antebellum, everyone was ready to get groovy! The photos from this celebratory wedding were captured by Red Apple Tree Photography. Excellent shots, right? They captured the festive vibe that was perfect both for the Fourth of July and for this cool couple’s wedding day.
Day of coordination was contracted by Liquid Catering, which towards the end of Anna and Michael’s planning, became something crucial that they realized they wanted to have. Having a day-of coordinator not only gave them a calming peace of mind, but reminded them of a few things to remember during the hectic day. Example? Thanks to the day-of coordinator, they made sure to get this photo in the nick of time!
This 4th of July celebration was not complete without fireworks, of course! Taking advantage of the show that the City of Greenville had planned, this couple had a fake send-off just before the bangs began. This allowed for Red Apple Tree Photography to take some priceless pictures of the couple and lit-up sky backdrop. Jeff Bradt Video captured all the live action too – even an awesome aerial shot! Click on the link here to see a short clip of the spectacular show. Our Deck once again provided the perfect place for guests to watch the spectacle before they got back to dancing the night away.
Cheers to this wonderfully sweet and fun couple. Anna and Michael, we wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness! Thanks for allowing The Old Cigar Warehouse to be a part of your special celebration. Under the red, white, and blue…this love was true!
